He has extensive experience in the field of Banking and Foreign Exchange and has also held positions of Senior Adviser- UNDP, and Adviser to the Governor-Bank of Zambia. He was the Non-Executive Chairman of Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL). He is presently on the board of many private and public limited companies in India.
I.V. Subramaniam Mr. Subramaniam ("Subbu") is a CFA charter holder and a qualified Company Secretary from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. Subbu has over 17 years of experience in the Indian financial services industry. During 1998-2004, under advisory services provided by Quantum Advisors to Hansberger Global Investors, Inc, his responsibilities included research coverage on Indian companies, electric utilities in emerging countries, and building materials companies globally. Since June 2000 Subbu has managed India-dedicated Portfolios for India- based clients and since 2005, he has been managing India dedicated portfolios for international clients.
Dr. Rafiq Dossani is a senior economist at The RAND Corporation. Earlier, he was senior research scholar at Stanford University’s Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center, responsible for developing and directing the South Asia Initiative. His research interests include South Asian security, and financial, technology, and energy-sector reform in India. He is currently undertaking projects on regional integration, innovation in outsourcing, engineering education, access to capital and entrepreneurship in information technology in the South Asian subcontinent. Dr. Dossani earlier worked for the Robert Fleming Investment Banking group, first as CEO of its Indian securities operations and later as head of its San Francisco operations. He has also been the chairman and CEO of a stockbroking firm on the OTCEI exchange in India, the deputy editor of Business India Weekly, and a professor of finance at Pennsylvania State University. He holds a BA in economics from St. Stephen's College, New Delhi, India; an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, India; and a PhD in finance from Northwestern University.
